In the 1840s, John Begg established his Lochnagar Distillery near the gates of Balmoral, the sprawling country estate of the British royal family. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert soon paid him a visit and he was awarded a Royal Warrant for his Scotch Whisky. To this day the Royal Lochnagar Distillery plays host to the royal family and the iconic name of John Begg lives on across Scotland, revered for quality and craft.
Our John Begg Scotch Whisky is full-bodied, smooth and mellow. We've all heard "Take a Peg of Begg." You can bet John Begg would agree.
