LOUISVILLE, KY (Sep. 15, 2021) – Expresiones del Corazón George T. Stagg Añejo was awarded a Trophy at the 2021 International Spirits Challenge (ISC), a distinction given to the highest-scoring products in each category. Corazón’s ultra-premium Expresiones Collection is a unique lineup released annually in limited quantities. The Trophy-winning George T. Stagg Añejo was aged in barrels that previously held the highly-coveted Antique Collection whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery.
The Trophy was one of eight medals earned by Sazerac’s Corazón Tequilas, which are produced in close partnership with Casa San Matias located in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Judging panels at the 2021 ISC were made up of more than 50 experienced industry professionals. Tasting awards were given following 12 days of intense blind tastings. Products’ scores for aroma, appearance, taste and finish were combined to determine placement.
